Natasha Jones is an interdisciplinary artist and writer based in Western Massachusetts, although pieces of her heart are flung across the world in the care of those she holds most dear. Her work includes many elements of the fiber arts including spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, sewing, and embroidery. Printmaking, papermaking, ceramics, drawing, and film photography also feature prominently in her work and studies. Thematically, her work centers on explorations of pattern, seasonality, and repetition with an emphasis on the natural world and the engagement of humans within it.

Natasha is nearing the end of a decade long journey to complete her B.A. in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her current research explores visual representations of early 20th century textile mill strikes in Massachusetts and their relationship to changing conceptions of childhood, feminism, and economic theory. Largely she is fascinated by the way textile industries and social revolution have proven to be a collaborative force across the world throughout modern history.

In her downtime, Natasha can be found listening to live music in small bars and going on adventures with her husband, Jeremiah, who is her raison d’être. She speaks French poorly, drinks Scotch neat, and compulsively collects aesthetically pleasing magazine collections. She rarely reads them. She has spent the past decade working with food as a waitress, bartender, chocolatier, and pâtissier.
